Committees

The Lower Paint Creek Watershed Association, Inc. (LPCWA) has the following three standing committees:

1.  Leadership Committee shall

  • have the responsibility to recommend programs to develop the skills of members and directors required to empower people to make decision
  • have the responsibility to recommend recruitment, programs and nominations of Directors and Officers
  • have the responsibility to recommend and if approved by the Board of Directors, implement election protocols
  • have the responsibility to recommend and if approved by the Board of Directors, maintain parliamentary procedures and make recommendations concerning rule making within the corporation.

2.   Outreach Committee shall

  • provide the Board's function of generating interest among citizens
  • be the Board's functional arm to recruit members and volunteers.

3.   Finance Committee shall

  • perform financial services for the Board of Directors including monitoring of expenses, payment of bills, budgeting and reporting and tax reporting
  • search and apply for appropriate grants to fund the operation and projects of the corporation
  • receive requests for funding from citizens, committee members and Board members to present to the Board of Directors,

The Lower Paint Creek Watershed Association, Inc. (LPCWA) special committees are:

1. Paint Creek Scenic Trail/Lower Paint Creek Watershed Association Bike Ride Committee shall

  • provide a Planning Outline for the Board of Directors
  • recruit volunteers to work on the committee
  • set dates for committee meetings
  • provide a budget for the event
